Ebb tide

While visiting friends in Comox, Vancouver Island, we took our three dogs for a run on the beach during low tide. Miles of sand and sea. Watched an eagle make a half dozen attemps to catch a fish stranded in one of the intermittent tidal pools. With the ravens waiting at the edges. The eagle wasn't having much luck. Think an osprey may have done better. Imagine the poor fish was hoping the tide would come in quick. A beautiful, lazy afternoon, looking out over the Strait of Georgia and the Salish Sea, across to Texada Island towards Powell River.
